UK–Africa Investment Summit Launches Programme for 16th Edition, Spotlighting the UK–India–Uganda Trilateral Investment Corridor
The 16th UK–Africa Investment Summit (UKAIS 2026) will take place on 11 September 2026 at The Royal Horseguards Hotel & One Whitehall Place, London — bringing together government ministers, institutional investors, development finance institutions, South Asian enterprise leaders, and diaspora capital networks to advance the UK–Africa–India investment corridor.

UKAIS 2026 has formally launched its programme, marking the 16th consecutive edition of the United Kingdom’s longest-running, execution-focused Africa investment platform. Organised by The Promota Africa Group under the leadership of Willy Mutenza, the Summit has spent 16 years converting dialogue between policymakers, investors, and diaspora business leaders into bankable projects, structured partnerships, and executed transactions.
This year’s Summit takes place at a defining moment for UK–Africa economic engagement. With the AfCFTA framework accelerating intra-African trade, Uganda’s Tenfold Growth Strategy positioning East Africa as one of the most compelling frontier investment environments globally, and global interest in Africa’s critical minerals and energy transition reaching new highs, UKAIS 2026 arrives with a clear and tested mandate: execution.
“UKAIS is not a conference. It is the execution infrastructure through which the UK–Africa–India investment corridor functions. For 16 editions, it has been the platform where policy meets capital and dialogue becomes signed agreements.”
— Willy Mutenza, Founder & Chairman, UK–Africa Investment SummitProgramme Highlights: A Trilateral Agenda Built for Deal-Making
The UKAIS 2026 programme has been designed around structured deal facilitation — integrating sector-focused investment forums, closed-door roundtables, government engagement sessions, and direct B2B matching, all aligned to the Summit’s trilateral UK–India–Uganda corridor model.
Key agenda themes include:
- The UK–India–Uganda Trilateral Corridor — capital structuring, market entry, and joint venture architecture
- Uganda’s Tenfold Growth Strategy — ATMS priorities: agro-industrialisation, minerals, renewables, and ICT
- Pharmaceutical Manufacturing in East Africa — NDA registration pathways and the Kapeeka Industrial Park investment case
- Africa’s Energy Transition — renewables deployment, Energy-as-a-Service, and telecom tower power solutions
- Critical Minerals & Value Addition — Uganda’s mineral wealth and downstream processing opportunities
- Diaspora Capital Mobilisation — converting remittance flows into structured investment vehicles
- AfCFTA and the East African Community — market access, trade corridors, and cross-border frameworks
- Digital Africa — ICT, BPO, Fintech and the future of African services exports
- Agri-Tech & Food Processing — Uganda as a production and export hub
- Infrastructure & Affordable Housing — industrial parks, logistics, and urban development
The Summit will also feature a dedicated Sector Investment Forum series, allowing project sponsors and fund managers to present bankable opportunities directly to a qualified investor audience — a format drawn from the Summit’s established track record of matching capital with credible African projects.
Uganda Designated UKAIS Strategic Growth Partner
For UKAIS 2026, Uganda has been formally designated as the Summit’s Strategic Growth Partner — reflecting the depth of engagement between UKAIS Invest and Ugandan government institutions, industrial parks, and private sector operators. Uganda’s designation is not ceremonial. It is operational.
In February 2026, a UKAIS-led UK–India–UAE Trade Mission to Uganda met with H.E. President Yoweri Museveni at State House Entebbe and secured agreement to establish a Tripartite Working Group under Uganda’s Office of the Prime Minister. Welcomed by Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja, the Mission brought 26 investor companies from India, the UK, and the South Asian diaspora into direct engagement with Ugandan ministries, regulatory bodies, and industrial park operators across pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, renewables, agribusiness, logistics, and tourism.
“This mission marks a clear transition from dialogue to execution. Uganda stands ready to engage serious partners committed to long-term, mutually beneficial growth.”
— H.E. Nimisha Jayant Madhvani, High Commissioner of the Republic of Uganda to the UK and Northern IrelandThe November 2026 UKAIS Invest Trade Mission to Uganda (2–15 November) will carry the outcomes of the September Summit into in-market execution, with UK, Indian, and European delegates engaging directly with project sponsors, industrial park operators, and government counterparts. Delegate places are available across Institutional (£3,500), Corporate (£4,500), SME (£2,500), Advisory (£3,000), and Observer (£1,800) categories.
