In September 2022, the UK–Africa Business Summit had scheduled to host H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in London to advance structured UK–Africa trade and investment dialogue. Following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 8 September 2022 and the subsequent period of national mourning in the United Kingdom, official events were suspended in line with national protocol. As a result, the planned hosting could not proceed as arranged. The Summit respected these circumstances and remained committed to its long-term objective of strengthening UK–Africa economic cooperation.
