Fifteen Editions. Documented Outcomes.
Since 2010, the UK–Africa Investment Summit has operated as a results-first platform — structured not around discussion but around delivery. Every edition has produced documented investment outcomes: memoranda of understanding, capital commitments, trade agreements, government partnerships, and commercial relationships that have continued beyond the Summit itself. The following record is a summary of what fifteen consecutive editions have delivered.
Inaugural editions established the Summit as a dedicated UK–Africa trade and investment platform. Early editions convened government ministers, trade agencies, and private sector leaders, producing the first MoUs and cross-border introductions that set the operational template.
The Summit expanded its delegate base to 400+ and introduced structured B2B matchmaking. Partnerships were formalised with the Uganda Investment Authority, British Chambers of Commerce across Africa, and UK Export Finance. Over 50 documented trade introductions per edition.
Introduction of the Investment Showcase format — fast-pitch sessions connecting project developers directly with institutional capital. Deal Book publication began, creating a permanent record of investable opportunities. Government-level engagement expanded to include 10+ African nations.
The Summit adapted during COVID-19, maintaining continuity through hybrid formats. Digital deal rooms were introduced. Despite disruption, documented outcomes continued — including virtual trade missions and the maintenance of investment pipelines that would be activated post-pandemic.
Return to full-scale in-person delivery. Delegate numbers exceeded 600. The Gala Dinner at the Houses of Parliament was established as a flagship networking and recognition event. Sector breakout streams introduced for agro-processing, energy, fintech, and healthcare.
Formal integration of India as a strategic corridor partner through SACCI and the Rajasthan Foundation. The 15th Edition convened the trilateral UK–India–Africa model. Speaker roster included heads of state, DFI executives, and sovereign wealth fund representatives. £1BN+ in identified opportunities.
The UK–India–Uganda Multi-Sectoral Trade Mission secured a meeting with H.E. President Museveni at State House Entebbe. A Presidential directive to formalise the Tripartite Trade, Investment and Business Promotion Framework was issued. The framework has been referred to the Attorney General and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives.
UKAIS 2026 at The Royal Horseguards Hotel & One Whitehall Place, London. Uganda designated as Strategic Growth Partner. 16 priority investment destinations. Five-stage Investment Programme from market entry through deal closure. November 2026 trade mission to Uganda in preparation.
