The 16th UK–Africa Business Summit returns to London on 11 September 2026 with a sharper mandate: connect capital to execution.
On 11 September 2026, the 16th UK–Africa Business, Trade and Investment Summit will take place at The Royal Horseguards Hotel and One Whitehall Place in London. This is not a networking event. It is not a conference. It is a structured capital mobilisation platform where investment decisions are made, industrial partnerships are formalised, and national growth strategies are converted into bankable transactions.
The summit has been running for sixteen years. It has documented outcomes across multiple editions and returns in 2026 with its most focused and commercially relevant agenda to date.

What separates UKAIS 2026 from other UK–Africa platforms is the formalisation of a trilateral investment corridor linking three complementary economic systems.
The United Kingdom provides capital structuring, institutional networks and advisory capability. India contributes manufacturing scale, engineering capacity and technology transfer. Africa, with Uganda as the 2026 anchor market, provides production capacity, value addition and access to regional markets through the East African Community and AfCFTA.
This is not theoretical. The model has already been tested in practice. In February 2026, a high-level UK–India delegation travelled to Uganda, meeting President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at State House Entebbe, touring Kapeeka Industrial Park and engaging with the Prime Minister and senior ministers. The mission concluded with the establishment of a UK–India–Uganda Tripartite Working Group under the Office of the Prime Minister.
The strategic intent is clear. This is about structuring joint ventures, aligning capital with industrial capacity, and building supply chains that connect production in Africa with global markets.
Uganda is positioned as the strategic growth partner for UKAIS 2026. Its national development agenda targets expansion from a USD 50 billion economy to USD 500 billion by 2040. Growth has remained resilient, with GDP expansion above regional averages and medium-term projections in the 6–7 percent range.
This growth is anchored in the ATMS framework: Agro-industrialisation, Tourism Development, Mineral-Based Industrialisation, and Science, Technology and Innovation. These are not abstract priorities. They are linked to defined investment pipelines, policy backing and sector-specific incentives.
Industrial parks such as Namanve and Kapeeka already provide operational platforms for manufacturing and export-oriented production. Energy capacity is expanding, labour costs remain competitive, and Uganda’s location offers access to regional markets under AfCFTA.
The investment case is straightforward. Uganda is not positioning itself as a standalone market. It is positioning itself as a production base within a wider regional and global trade system.
The summit is designed for investors and operators who are ready to engage at execution level.
This includes institutional investors, development finance institutions, private equity and venture capital, commercial banks, structured finance providers, CEOs and senior executives, exporters, supply chain operators, technology firms, renewable energy developers, and government agencies.
If your objective is capital deployment, market entry, industrial partnership or policy alignment, the summit provides a structured route to decision-making.
For participants ready to move beyond engagement, a dedicated Trade and Investment Mission to Uganda will take place from 2 to 15 November 2026.
The programme includes high-level government meetings, site visits to Namanve and Kapeeka industrial parks, capital matching roundtables and structured B2B and B2G engagements.
Priority sectors include manufacturing, agro-processing, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, ICT, logistics and tourism infrastructure.
Participation is selective to ensure alignment between capital, sector focus and execution capacity.
