Caleb Mwesigwa Calls for Partnerships to Support Disadvantaged Children in Uganda’s Education Sector

London, September 15, 2024 — At the 14th UK-Africa Trade Summit, Caleb Mwesigwa, a passionate advocate for education, delivered a powerful call for partnerships to support disadvantaged children in Uganda. In his first address in the UK, Mwesigwa, founder of Sasha International Christian School, emphasized the need for inclusive education, particularly for children with autism and those from financially disadvantaged backgrounds.

Education: A Tool for Transformation

“Education is a tool for transformation,” Mwesigwa stated, stressing the importance of equal opportunities for all children in Uganda. He shared the mission of his school, which aims to provide quality education not only to mainstream students but also to children with special needs. Mwesigwa’s vision is clear: to ensure that no child in Uganda is left behind, regardless of their background or abilities.

An Appeal for Global Collaboration

Mwesigwa used the summit as a platform to invite international partners to join his mission to uplift Uganda’s youth through education. Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to share his vision with a global audience, he called on potential collaborators to make a difference in the lives of Uganda’s children.

“We take care of disadvantaged children so they can have access to quality education,” he emphasized, highlighting the critical role education plays in shaping the future of Uganda's next generation. His heartfelt appeal focused on the importance of collaborative efforts to reach underserved communities, especially children with special needs and those from low-income families.

A Vision for the Future

Mwesigwa’s remarks resonated with the audience, as he underscored the transformative power of education in creating a brighter future for Uganda. His call to action encouraged the international community to come together to support inclusive education initiatives, ensuring that every child in Uganda has access to the opportunities they deserve.
