In Partnership with SACCI

London, UK – June 2025 — The organisers of the UK–Africa Business, Trade & Investment Summit 2025 are honoured to confirm the participation of General David Rubakuba Muhoozi, Uganda’s Minister of State for Internal Affairs, who will lead a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Department of Immigration. This marks a significant moment for diaspora engagement, security-sector investment, and identity services abroad.

General Muhoozi will highlight how Uganda’s internal security framework, investor protections, and forensic innovation are enabling the environment for growth and partnerships across borders—particularly in collaboration with diaspora entrepreneurs and international investors.

🔹 What to Expect at the Summit

1. Mobilising the Diaspora:
General Muhoozi and his team will engage with Ugandans abroad to explore partnerships in national security infrastructure, while providing on-site support for passport renewals, NIRA ID updates, and dual citizenship applications.

2. Work Permits & Investment Assurance:
The team will outline Uganda’s investor-friendly immigration framework, including work permits and security guarantees for foreign professionals and diaspora business owners.

3. Government Projects in Security & Forensics:
Learn about bankable government projects within Uganda’s Directorate of Government Analytical Laboratory (DGAL)—spanning forensic analysis, anti-counterfeiting, food and product safety, immigration science, and export readiness.

4. Scientific and Forensic Innovation:
Explore how DGAL services enhance justice, public health, and private-sector competitiveness through high-level scientific services used by police, courts, embassies, manufacturers, and exporters.
