Honouring Leadership and Vision
In her closing address at the 15th UK–Africa Business, Trade & Investment Summit, H.E. Nimisha Madhvani, High Commissioner of Uganda to the United Kingdom, delivered an emotional tribute to Mr. Willy Mutenza, the visionary Founder and Convener of the Summit. She praised his leadership, resilience, and dedication in strengthening Uganda’s trade, investment, and diplomatic ties with the United Kingdom.
“If I had a medal at the Uganda High Commission to give you, I would. Ministers, please recommend President Museveni to give this gentleman a medal — a Ugandan honour. He really deserves it.” – H.E. Nimisha Madhvani
H.E. Madhvani described Mr. Mutenza’s work as indispensable to the Summit’s success and to Uganda’s broader economic diplomacy. She credited him with uniting stakeholders from government, business, and the diaspora — fostering trust-based partnerships that continue to raise Uganda’s global profile.
“Through Mr. Mutenza’s leadership, we continue to see stronger, more practical connections between Uganda and the UK. His dedication, humility, and professionalism inspire us all.”
Her remarks highlighted that sustained collaboration, grounded in shared vision and integrity, is the cornerstone of Uganda’s evolving trade and diplomatic partnerships.
Under her stewardship, the Uganda High Commission in London remains a vital bridge between policy, business, and the Ugandan diaspora. She reaffirmed that Uganda’s partnership with the United Kingdom continues to thrive — driven by initiatives like the UK–Africa Business Summit that blend diplomacy with practical collaboration.
“The partnership between Uganda and the United Kingdom is stronger today because of such vision-driven collaboration.” – H.E. Nimisha Madhvani
H.E. Madhvani concluded by expressing heartfelt appreciation for Mr. Willy Mutenza — for his leadership, vision, and unrelenting commitment to Uganda’s economic diplomacy and to a more connected, prosperous Africa.
“Thank you, Mr. Mutenza, for your leadership, dedication, and the enduring vision you have shared with both Uganda and the world.”
