Chris Flavin leads the Business Development Team at Gridworks. He brings extensive international experience in project development and mergers and acquisitions across Africa, Asia, and Europe. Chris has overseen Gridworks’ involvement in key infrastructure projects in Uganda, focusing on expanding and improving electricity transmission and distribution networks. These efforts support access to reliable, sustainable power and contribute to national economic growth.

Before joining Gridworks, Chris spent five years at CDC Group, focusing on transmission and distribution projects as well as off-grid investments during his last three years there. Chris is a qualified lawyer. He worked in private practice for nine years, advising private equity investors before joining CDC Group’s legal team in 2014.

At the 15th UK–Africa Business, Trade & Investment Summit 2025, Chris will share practical insights from Gridworks’ work in Uganda and other markets.
