Dr. Graham Bright JP
Dr Graham Bright JP serves as Head of Compliance and Operations at Euro Exim Bank Ltd—an innovative financial institution specialising in Trade Finance, dedicated to facilitating global commerce for corporates and SMEs worldwide.
With a distinguished career spanning over 40 years in the financial services sector, Dr Bright brings extensive experience across a broad range of disciplines, including regulatory engagement, industry utilities, Central Bank collaboration, consultancy, and partner and channel management.
He holds a Professional Doctorate in Leadership and Management, as well as a BA (Hons) in Business Studies. In addition to his professional duties, he is a serving UK Justice of the Peace and participates in Crown Court appeal hearings.
Previously, he held the position of Director of FSI Solutions and Strategy at EMC, where he acted as a subject matter expert in financial services, overseeing initiatives in paperless banking, compliance, governance, and risk management.
Prior to EMC, Dr Bright was Managing Director at Financial Tradeware, a provider of SWIFT Bureau services and trading systems for brokers and hedge funds.
Earlier in his career, he spent 20 years with SWIFT as a Regional Sales Manager, during which he served as a member of the UK CHAPS Technical Committee and managed key accounts including the Bank of England’s RTGS system. He was also responsible for onboarding and servicing financial institutions across Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with a focus on fintech partner engagement.
Dr Bright is a regular contributor to trade publications and has been interviewed by major media outlets including Reuters, Bloomberg, and Forbes TV. He is featured in various industry video segments on YouTube and is a recognised thought leader with numerous published articles in the financial technology press. He is also a sought-after speaker at global trade finance conferences, including Transforming Finance, GTR, and TXF, and has received multiple prestigious awards from the banking and financial sectors.
