Youngsik AhnDirector – Head of Export & Agency Finance, Sub-Saharan Africa Youngsik Ahn is Director and Head of Export & Agency Finance for Sub-Saharan Africa at Citi, where he leads the bank's export credit agency (ECA), multilateral and development finance activities across the region. Based in London, he advises governments, sovereign borrowers, financial institutions, project sponsors, and corporate clients on structuring ECA backed, multilateral and commercial financing for strategic infrastructure and development projects. Youngsik has extensive international experience in export credit, structured finance and sovereign financing globally. Throughout his career, he has worked in New York, Hong Kong, London, Washington DC, and Paris, building broad experience across both developed and emerging markets. He has led complex cross-border financing transactions, working closely with export credit agencies, multilateral institutions and development finance institutions to mobilise long-term capital and deliver bankable financing solutions. In addition to his banking career, Youngsik served at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in DC and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris, where he focused on sovereign finance and economic development. He holds an MBA from London Business School in the UK and is fluent English and Korean.
