A Platform Built for Execution, Not Conversation
Now in its 16th consecutive year, UKAIS is the UK’s most sustained and operationally grounded Africa investment summit. Unlike conventional networking events, UKAIS 2026 is structured around commercially viable outcomes: pre-matched business meetings, closed-door investor roundtables, live project pitching, and structured B2B and B2G sessions designed to accelerate deal progression.
The newly released agenda for UKAIS 2026 reflects the breadth and depth of the UK–Africa investment opportunity, covering:
- Infrastructure development — roads, energy grids, industrial parks and logistics corridors
- Agro-industrialisation — value chain investment, cold chain logistics, and export-oriented agribusiness
- Renewable energy and oil — hydropower, solar, EACOP pipeline infrastructure, and Energy-as-a-Service
- Manufacturing and industrialisation — pharmaceutical production, textiles, and construction materials
- Healthcare and pharmaceuticals — hospital infrastructure, diagnostics, and pharma manufacturing
- ICT, fintech and digital economy — BPO, mobile finance, and innovation ecosystems
- Mining and mineral processing — gold, cobalt, rare earths, and critical mineral value chains
- Banking and financial services — blended finance, diaspora capital, and SME credit
The UK–Africa–India Investment Corridor: Trilateral Capital in Motion
A defining feature of UKAIS 2026 is the formalisation of the UK–Africa–India Tripartite Investment Corridor — a coordinated model that positions UK financial expertise and capital structuring alongside Indian industrial and manufacturing capability, deployed into African production environments.
Following the successful February 2026 UK–India–UAE Trade and Investment Mission to Uganda, which culminated in a high-level meeting with President Museveni at State House Entebbe, a Tripartite Working Group was formally constituted under Uganda’s Office of the Prime Minister. The Summit will advance this framework with country-specific investment sessions, institutional partnership announcements, and structured capital-matching sessions.
Uganda holds a designated position within this corridor as a strategic growth partner, not merely a participant. Uganda’s Tenfold Growth Strategy — targeting GDP expansion from approximately $50 billion to $500 billion by 2040 — is being operationalised through four ATMS pillars: Agro-industrialisation, Tourism, Mineral-based industrialisation, and Science, Technology & Innovation.
“The 16th UK–Africa Investment Summit is not another conference. It is a structured execution platform — one that moves capital, connects the right people, and turns ambition into signed agreements. The UK–Africa–India corridor is open. The time to act is now.”
Building on the Success of UKAIS 2025
The 15th UK–Africa Investment Summit, held in London in 2025, was by any measure the most successful edition in the platform’s history. Bringing together over 550 unique visitors, 123 participating companies, and representatives from more than 15 countries, the Summit delivered a rich programme of high-impact sessions, ministerial addresses, and structured investor engagements that generated concrete follow-on activity well beyond the event itself.
The 2025 edition was distinguished by the calibre and breadth of its speaker line-up — spanning the UK Parliament, the Commonwealth Secretariat, the British military, and the boardrooms of Africa’s most dynamic businesses.
Lord Dolar Popat, UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, delivered a compelling address on the strategic case for deepening UK–Africa economic ties, drawing on his personal journey from Uganda to the House of Lords and his extensive experience brokering bilateral partnerships. His intervention reinforced the Summit’s longstanding commitment to trade that is rooted in trust, reciprocity, and long-term value.
Lieutenant General Peter Pearson CB CBE, former Commandant of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and former Deputy Commander of NATO’s southern command, brought a rare perspective on leadership, strategic planning, and operational resilience to a room of investors and business leaders. Raised in East Africa, Lt Gen Pearson’s address bridged military discipline and boardroom strategy in a session that drew widespread acclaim from delegates.
Lord Rami Ranger CBE, Member of the House of Lords and one of the UK’s most decorated export champions — holder of five consecutive Queen’s Awards for Enterprise — offered an authoritative voice on diaspora entrepreneurship, global trade, and the power of values-driven leadership. His contribution underscored the Summit’s commitment to representing the full spectrum of UK business influence in Africa.
Karim Fatehi OBE, Chief Executive of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, addressed the critical role of chamber-to-chamber collaboration in enabling SME market access and building durable commercial bridges between the UK and African economies.
Alongside these UK voices, the 2025 programme featured a distinguished contingent of African policymakers and business leaders, including Hon. Matia Kasaija (Uganda’s Minister of Finance), Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga (1st Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Affairs), Hon. Ruth Nankabirwa (Minister of Energy and Mineral Development), H.E. Nimisha Madhvani (Uganda’s High Commissioner to the UK), Prof. Luis Franceschi (Assistant Secretary General of the Commonwealth Secretariat), and Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, one of East Africa’s most influential entrepreneurs. Nation Media Group, Absa Bank Uganda, and senior figures from the infrastructure and ICT sectors completed a programme that was both commercially focused and strategically coherent.
Post-Summit, the platform generated direct follow-on through the February 2026 UK–India–UAE Trade Mission to Uganda — a delegation that met President Museveni at State House Entebbe and established the Tripartite Working Group under Uganda’s Office of the Prime Minister. The 2025 Summit did not end on 11 September. It created the conditions for everything that followed.
Summit Features: Structured for Impact
UKAIS 2026 is designed to maximise commercially productive engagement at every stage of the agenda. Key features include:
- Customised Business Meetings — pre-matched by sector focus and commercial objectives, connecting investors, project sponsors, and policymakers for targeted engagement
- Country Investment Sessions — focused presentations and investment briefings on Uganda, South Africa, and other high-priority African markets
- Closed-Door Investor Roundtables — restricted sessions for institutional capital and sovereign-aligned investors
- Live Project Pitching — investment-ready bankable projects in energy, pharma, agribusiness, infrastructure, and ICT presented directly to active investors

Institutional Partnerships Driving the Agenda
UKAIS Invest has established a formal partnership with the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SACCI), led by Chairman Mahendrasinh C. Jadeja, underpinning the India–Africa manufacturing pillar of the investment corridor. The partnership enables coordinated deal origination, institutional co-investment, and cross-border project structuring across the Sub-Saharan region.
WABA and a range of development finance and business support organisations also form part of the institutional ecosystem supporting Summit delivery.
“Uganda’s energy sector is ready for transformative partnerships. From oil and gas to renewables, Uganda welcomes UK investors.”
