Christine Charity Mwebesa is Special Presidential Assistant for Economic Affairs. She has 29 years work experience as a public servant of which 17 years she was in academia.

She holds Doctoral of Philosophy in Higher Education Management from University of Witwatersrand (South Africa),MBA (UMU), PGDip-HRM(UMI), BBA(NDU).

She is a a researcher and founding member of Network for Education and Multidisciplinary Research Africa (NEMRA).
She believes that Africa has potential to benefit all only if there were right partners to add value to its raw materials, and a market for the African products.
